Introducing the Osprey Collection

A beautiful blend between contemporary and mid-century modern, this lounge and dining set will look stunning in any setting

Made from handwoven polypropylene rope paired with an aluminum frame, the Osprey collection was designed to weather the elements, no matter the environment or setting. From decks of superyachts to beachfront properties to bluestone patios, there's ample opportunity to incorporate Osprey's lounge and dining pieces in your favorite outdoor haven. The braided construction adds texture and makes Osprey appealing from every angle.

"Our design process is often sparked by the discovery of new materials or innovative ways to use them," says JANUS et Cie Vice President of Product Development & Design Carolina Zhang. "In this case, we were drawn to the chunky, inviting character of this particular rope construction and were inspired to explore how it could be thoughtfully applied to seating."

Each piece looks just as good from the front as it does from the back. Shown here: the Osprey chaise lounge in Talc/White Opal.

Similar to its majestic namesake, Osprey smoothly transitions between various climates and terrain while seamlessly complementing our existing collections. Try pairing the Osprey armchairs with the Louise rectangular dining table or the 3 seat sofa and lounge chairs with just about anything from our Ares collection for a contemporary outdoor setup that is constructed to last.

"Osprey's ability to fit in so seamlessly with other collections is what makes it so easy to decorate with," says Interior Decorator Parker Bowie Larson. "I can see this giving more nautical vibes in navy blue fabrics or beach tones in a coral colored fabric or my personal favorite that verdant garden feeling with greens. In regards to the design, I especially love the juxtaposition of the pointed, almost dainty legs of the Osprey armchair paired with the comfort of the plush, rope seat backs."

The secret behind Osprey's ability to stand out in any setting is its unique braid construction.

"There's a quiet elegance in the way this rope takes shape," Zhang explains. "We explored numerous braid variations, from strand to fishtail, before arriving at this final form. Each line reveals a visual rhythm and tactile richness that feels both fresh and intentionally crafted."

Whatever your outdoor vision may be, we hope you love our new Osprey collection as much as we do.
