The famed Kentucky racetrack hires Populous to update its paddock terraces and Spires Suites
Churchill Downs Racetrack, home of the world-renowned Kentucky Derby horse race, recently underwent a grand transformation coinciding with the historic Louisville property’s 150th anniversary. Designed by the illustrious, global firm Populous in coordination with Churchill Downs, the modern updates bring the iconic venue into a new era.
The paddock terraces have been completed with JANUS et Cie’s woven Niche Nouveau side chairs surrounding Koko II rectangular and tulip dining tables, as well as Azimuth side chairs and Arbor dining tables.
The stunning Spires Suites feature a wide array of furnishings including pieces from the solid aluminum Quadratl and Savannah collections, Cone II dining tables, Kudo cocktail tables, Inlaid side tables, Eclipse Coronado rugs, and drapery made from the Jardin 2-Inch Stripe textile.
